The Project

The filmmakers of Travis Pollert Film and Video (www.travispollert.com) have teamed up with writer/producer Luke Frazier to develop a feature-length documentary about the human experience of water, focusing on the people and history of Cleveland, OH. This is a continuation of an ongoing collaboration between the two that have produced numerous commercial and artistic short films over the past 3 years, including Hidden in Plain Sight (www.hipsdoc.com), which had it’s worldwide premiere this January on PBS/WVIZ’s Applause! and is currently playing in film festivals including The Cleveland International Film Festival.

a feature documentary that will
explore the human experience of water

The Story

We spend our entire lives in various relationships with water. We live or die according to its availability, and access to water is a significant determining factor of one’s health and economic standing. Our physical selves require it, our social selves embrace it, and our spiritual selves rejoice in it. When we go to the water it rejuvenates us, and being in water corresponds to our deepest human identity.

Finding Water will explore our relationship to water using defining moments in time that we share with one another collectively and the moments we experience personally. It is about the context and consequences of our relationship with water and it is about how we are all connected to each other through water.

Water is essential and elemental; finding it is a journey.
